Aptera Motors is set to make a significant impact at CES 2025 by showcasing its innovative solar electric vehicle (sEV), which is designed to operate without the need for traditional charging for most daily use. Scheduled for January 6-10, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Aptera will be located at booth CP-517. This event marks a pivotal moment for the company, which has been dedicated to developing sustainable transportation solutions since its inception in 2019. With a focus on harnessing solar energy, Aptera aims to revolutionize how consumers think about mobility and energy consumption.
The flagship vehicle, also named Aptera, boasts an impressive capability of generating up to 40 miles of solar-powered driving per day. Its ultra-aerodynamic design and unparalleled energy efficiency position it as a leader in the electric vehicle market. In addition to its solar capabilities, the vehicle can be plugged in for an additional 400 miles of range on a single charge, taking less than an hour to fully recharge. This combination of features offers drivers unprecedented freedom from reliance on gas and conventional electricity sources, making it a groundbreaking option for eco-conscious consumers.
Since launching its pre-order campaign, Aptera has garnered substantial interest, with over $1.7 billion in pre-orders and nearly 50,000 vehicles reserved globally. The company has also successfully raised $135 million through equity crowdfunding, which has been instrumental in advancing its pre-production efforts. Currently, Aptera is in the Validation Phase of development, where it is constructing production-intent vehicles designed to rigorously test critical performance metrics such as range and solar charging capabilities. This phase is crucial as it sets the foundation for future mass production and delivery of the vehicles.
At CES 2025, attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience Aptera's production-intent vehicle up close and engage with company representatives about their vision for a solar-powered future. Chris Anthony, Co-CEO of Aptera Motors, emphasized that CES serves as an ideal platform to unveil their innovations in sustainable transportation. Alongside showcasing the vehicle, Aptera plans to offer exclusive driving demonstrations for select media personnel and highlight its advanced battery technology in collaboration with CTNS. This event not only represents a milestone for Aptera but also underscores the growing importance of renewable energy solutions in the automotive industry.
