The Russian satellite Kosmos-2553 has become the subject of intense international scrutiny after reports suggested it may have gone out of control. Launched in February 2022 under a veil of secrecy, Kosmos-2553 was widely believed to be a military reconnaissance satellite or part of an experimental surveillance program by the Russian Ministry of Defense. While the true mission and current status of Kosmos-2553 remain uncertain, its erratic behavior has sparked global interest and concern.
