Singer Cassie’s former stylist, Deonte Nash, testified in federal court that Sean “Diddy” Combs pressured Cassie into participating in what he called “freak-off” sex marathons during their relationship. Nash described an incident on Cassie’s 29th birthday in 2015 when she wanted to celebrate with friends, but Combs insisted on taking her to a hotel for another of these encounters. Nash recounted seeing Combs berate Cassie as she pleaded to spend her birthday on her own terms, and later confided to Nash that she felt compelled to comply with Combs’ demands.
Nash told jurors this was not an isolated incident—Cassie had confided in him multiple times about her reluctance to participate in Combs’ drug-fueled hotel sessions. According to Nash, Cassie said she felt she had no choice, as Combs would threaten her career and reputation if she refused. Earlier in the trial, Cassie herself testified that these “freak-offs” often involved Combs watching, directing, and sometimes filming her as she had sex with a male sex worker. She described engaging in hundreds of such encounters over their 11-year relationship.
The testimony also included disturbing accounts of physical violence. Nash said he witnessed Combs attack Cassie, including an incident where Combs grabbed her by the hair, pulled her off a couch, and struck her repeatedly while Nash and another friend tried to intervene. Cassie’s own testimony echoed these claims, describing frequent physical abuse, threats, and emotional manipulation. She said Combs controlled many aspects of her life, from her career to her appearance, and used intimidation to maintain that control.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He currently faces a possible life sentence if convicted. The trial has brought to light not only the alleged sexual coercion but also a pattern of psychological and physical abuse, with both Cassie and Nash detailing the fear and pressure Cassie endured during her relationship with Combs.
