Himesh Reshammiya is an Indian playback singer, music director, songwriter, film and music producer, and actor in Hindi cinema, born on 23 July 1973 in Mumbai. He began his career as a music director with the film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998 and debuted as an actor in 2007 with Aap Kaa Surroor. He has composed over 1,300 songs and is known for his distinctive nasal singing style which divided opinions but also gained a strong cult following. His album Aap Kaa Surroor (2006) was one of India's top-selling albums with 55 million copies sold. Reshammiya has also been a popular TV music reality show mentor and judge and has performed in major concerts worldwide, including being the first Indian singer to perform at Wembley Arena in London.

In recent years, he launched his music label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, and continued releasing popular music albums and films, including The Xposé and its sequel, as well as Badass Ravi Kumar scheduled for release in 2025. Despite earlier criticism, his concerts now attract enthusiastic audiences who celebrate his unique style and nostalgic hits from the 2000s.

He is active on social media, has had significant influence on Bollywood music, and remains an iconic figure in Indian entertainment.
