Dylan Dreyer, the well-known meteorologist and co-host from NBC’s “Today” show, has confirmed her separation from husband Brian Fichera after more than 12 years of marriage. The news, which Dreyer shared in a heartfelt Instagram announcement on July 18, 2025, comes after months of public speculation. In her statement, Dreyer emphasized the journey she shared with viewers, writing, “For many years, I have shared my family journey with all of you—the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all the blessings and beautiful memories in between. I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all.” She went on, “A few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate”.
Dreyer and Fichera’s relationship began at WHDH, a local Boston news station, where they met while working the early-morning shift. After several years of friendship, they married in October 2012 in a ceremony at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Over the course of their marriage, Dylan and Brian became parents to three sons—Calvin Bradley (8), Oliver George (5), and Russell James (3). Despite their busy careers, they maintained a tradition of celebrating milestones together, finding time for shared interests like family outings and golf tournaments.
Even after their separation, the couple’s commitment to their children remains strong. Dreyer’s announcement underscored that co-parenting is their highest priority, stating, “We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another.” Sources close to the family noted that despite living apart for several months, the two have been seen celebrating holidays and important events as a united family. They recently appeared together at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe and shared moments during the Fourth of July festivities, reflecting their amicable relationship.
Professionally, Dreyer continues her work on “Today,” where she has become a staple morning presence alongside co-hosts Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin. Both Dreyer and Fichera, who works as an NBC cameraman, are prioritizing their children’s well-being above all. There have been no reports of divorce filings; instead, insiders highlight their focus on maintaining stability and support for their sons. As Dreyer continues to serve as a prominent figure in broadcast journalism, her transparency and candidness about this major life change have been met with an outpouring of public empathy and encouragement.
