Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll have unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, marking the beginning of the anime’s climactic final arc. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by Ufotable, this film is the first in a trilogy that will adapt the concluding chapters of Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga. The trailer, which runs for just over a minute and a half, showcases breathtaking animation and teases the high-stakes confrontations that await Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps as they are thrust into the enemy’s stronghold following a surprise attack by the series’ main antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Picking up immediately after the events of the Hashira Training Arc, the story sees Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the elite Hashira drawn into the mysterious Infinity Castle. This location, controlled by Muzan, serves as the battleground for the ultimate showdown between the slayers and the remaining Upper Rank demons. The trailer offers glimpses of intense battles, including the much-anticipated faceoffs between the Hashira and the Twelve Kizuki, as well as moments of camaraderie and resolve among the protagonists as they prepare for the final confrontation.
The visuals are complemented by two new original soundtrack tracks: “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer and “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA, both of which will be released on streaming platforms on July 18. The animation quality, already a hallmark of the franchise, is elevated further, with slow-motion sequences and dynamic fight choreography designed to immerse fans in the action. The trailer’s voiceover sets an urgent tone, emphasizing that the long battle may finally reach its conclusion.
